And that's exactly what DevOps is all about. Let's take a look at what the road looks like, what obstacles we may encounter and how they can be solved.

I have been involved in the IT industry for more than 35 years, with a broad background in IT operations, IT management and product innovation and development. I was project team lead in the original BITE (Business & IT Excellence) process modeling of ITIL, an ITIL V2 author and member of the ITIL V3 advisory group. Currently I am co-owner of GamingWorks, a company that develops and deploys a a range of business simulations focusing on IT Service management, Project management, Business & IT alignment and DevOps. These simulations are offered through our ever expanding global network of partner organizations. I was also co-author and developer of the ABC of ICT products and publications.

Vyrostl na Microsoftích technologiích, a po vystudování Telekomunikační a informační techniky na VUT FEKT v Brně se věnoval několik let IT bezpečnosti. V roce 2015 se poprvé setkal s pojmem „Devops“ a postupně začal pronikat do světa kontejnerizace, open source technologií a automatizací. Dnes se v Notinu se svým Platform týmem stará o běh kritických služeb převážně na platformě Kubernetes společně s provozem několika dalších open source technologií, včetně automatizace celého procesu nasazování. Zároveň se snaží šířit Devops filozofii napříč celým IT oddělením firmy.

He is a digital evangelist known for DevOps and cloud transformation primarily for the banking and finance industries. He’s an enterprise agile and lean coach focused on improving functional and financial results through the adoption of cultural mindset change. He is also on the board of experts panel for the Cloud Credential Council (CCC) and the world’s first individual to be certified across the complete portfolio of CCC. He has co-authored a white-paper on global digital skills and writes on multiple topics in areas like IoT, BigData, and Blockchain besides DevOps. He’s a regular industry speaker at global and regional events and conferences.

Vystudoval Elektrotechnickou fakultu ČVUT v Praze, kde později absolvoval i postgraduální studium. Poté působil postupně ve firmách Výzkumný ústav telekomunikací, DeTeWe, Philips, Logica (dnes CGI) a Hewlett-Packard. Poté nastoupil v roli procesního designera do společnosti T-Systems Czech Republic, která byla později zakoupena firmou T-Mobile Czech Republic. Zde nyní působí v divizi strategie a architektury jako procesní architekt a aplikační architekt OSS. Je nositelem celé řady certifikátů z oblasti ITIL, DevOps, CobIT, TOGAF a ArchiMate. Kromě této činnosti se podílí na školeních ITIL/ITSM, ArchiMate/EA a DevOps v rámci tzv. T-Mobile Univerzity. Je čestným členem itSMF CZ, kde pravidelně přednáší na konferencích a tzv. mini-workshopech. Historicky se podílel a podílí na revizích standardu ITIL pro V2, V3 a ITIL 4.
